I was reading some reviews of my stuff this week.
One woman wrote about how the way I draw asses makes her back hurt. Makes me think I should tone it down. I'm on an old manara kick again an he's good at not doing it too dramatic, clessy italian that he is. There was a manara wine ad I would always walk by here in Seattle where the woaman looked just like the lady from click. made me think the wine tasted like fisting.
Also there was some talk about naming the type of comix me and Coreyyyy and say a Brian lee O'malley and our gang of dudes do-- Post manga or arcade logic or gonzo comics have all been thrown around.
I came up with the name Whirled comix.
it's a pun. I like those things.
Dan Buksa was asking for a list of all the crap
I've done in comics. I wanted to see how much I could remember. This is what I could do off the top of my dome .
oldest to newest:
Pin up in Twilight X (still one of my favorite comix)
ersatz peach--short story Sunday afternoon
some ninja high school swimsuit pin ups
October yen --3 issues (Antarctic press)
Ieonium blue-- photocopied book, later put in escalator.
Jive ass---photocopies book with david linder
wanderlust cover--I dont remember what issue but it
was drawn by Moritat.
Universe so big--(radio comix) 3 issues but only 2 published.
A-bomb --blueprints, short 10pg porn story
Milk --short porn comics. I think issues 9 and 24 and some
pin ups.
Tape--photo copied book.
3rd degree #4 cover insides drawn by moritat.
Pornatopia-pin up
mangaphile. short stories (later published in escalator)
Meathaus 4 through 8 (1 through 7 later published in escalator)
Stray Moonbeams --afrocentric porn that I inked over moritat. soo hacked out for rent.
Perverts of the unknown (NBM)
Alternative Comics issue # 2 (just a short thing promoting escalator)
Transmetropolitan: Filth of the City (2 page pin up)
Big book of wild women--D.C unpublished.
Spin magazine--one page ice cube comic plus a 12 page unpublished comic.
Sizzle magazine NBM. pillow fight episodes plus the first Multiple warheads.
Pillow fight (NBM)

Heavy metal --the sci fi special. Short stuff later put in escalator.
Escalator (alternative comix)
X-funs--interview in chinese.
Cinema sewer--girls in prison cover.
Void. (short kwamf story)
Stuff sucks (one page comic)
Blade of the immortal back cover
King city (tokyo pop)
Killed-- photocopied thing
Multiple warheads (oni)
So that's that narcissism. I'm sorry you guys had to see that.
I've been reading lots of old quarter bin comix.
I just read the first issue (of 2) of the Hanged man, chronicles of mazeworld from Alan Grant and Arthur Ranson (caliber comics). It's about a dude that is about to be hung and at the moment the trap door drops he falls to the ground in some crazy incan fantasy world. the whole place is a series of mazes and maps are like money. He's a huge bastard and everytime he tries to do anything shitty he back to being hung for a spit second. It's awesome.
I've also been watching lots of youtube on coreys wii. I call it the dr who machine. There's old Avengers episodes and Max headroom episodes --dr whooo.
Man I love the logic of older science fiction, like how in max headroom the future technology isn't even as fancy as what we've got now. I like pre internet sci fi. Once you get into all this jacking in and cyberspace what not I tottaly lose my boner.
ok I should draw. I'm 22 pages deep on king city 2 and I gotta finish my space man meets god color comic by the 11th.
wish me luck.

That's a true story.
You gotta love puns, man. One of my old professors used to say "a good pun is the sign of a master of the English language."
That, too, is a true story.
I do see lots of girls that aren't too far from what I draw.
I don't imagine that I'll tone down anything, I mean shit,
Im doing another pillow fight thing NOW IS NOT THE TIME!
ya knaw?
And I think I like your old professor.
And why should you tone down the girl butts? It's, like, your signature!
You drawing girls without big asses would be like Ross drawing girls without big boobs.
Ya know?
i hate the name post-manga and gonzo comics sounds like everyone will have giant phallic noses. arcade logic sounds like you might have problems thinking above an 8bit level. i like the whirled comix though.
never thought about the pre-internet sci-fi. i just liked it because it was more of a romanticized outlook on what the future would be. as though, it really was the new wild west.
keep the gravity in check
and is always a good measure
that we're someplace new not yet abused
and thank ya brandon for the universal invite
your art makes me remember the downtown
i used to catch the bus at - now that i drive
everywhere it's odd out of touch i share less
with the world i'm in
bleh, verse me out, keep up the draw bro!
