A page from my King city 2 book that I'm working on.
Out from Tokyo pop, in about a year.
There's some Hemingway thing where he talks about starting with something true so the reader believes what you tell him next.
I try that with comics some times. This is that kind of thing.
I used to really like it in Gun smith cats when Sonada would draw his characters interacting with something I knew from the real world, like wearing converse all stars.
I dunno, ink plus paper plus magic is all im trying to do.
Not in some cocky way, just that's the attempt.
Oh wow. You did a great job on the perspective here. I have trouble when it comes to this. I do agree w/you on the Gunsmith Cats. I miss watching it. >.<

Dude, you seriously draw some of the best cities and buildings I've ever seen in comics. "Awe-inspiring" and "breathtaking" are just two of a long list of adjectives I could use to describe 'em.
This page reminded me of it, as did what you wrote, cus I always love the little pop-culture treats you chuck into the background of your work, as well as the graffiti and stuff like that. Really gives your work a vibrancy and life that others lack.
i hear what you're saying about being able to relate to those little truths- i think thats whats drawn me to the comics/manga/animation series that i love--
excellent work as always
The drawings are exellent !
