I remember that. THe only ones I remember though are the Kinukuman wrestling joints. I also remember that some stories would be in FULL color while others would just be ONE color like orange or blue or green.
This rocks. Just found you on her and looking forward to King City.

Any plans to collect your early work? I have like one OCtober Yen and little to none of your AP Radio joints.
I never cared too much for the old colored newsprint of the Japanese anthologies... I remember when Mixxzine tried to do that for some reason and it just looked awful, possibly because (among other things) they weren't using newsprint.
I've seen some monotone spotcolors and washes from older comics, though, like Toriyama's work in Dragonball and Dr. Slump that came out awesome. For that matter, the latest issue of Shonen Jump USA has a Yu Yu Hakusho chapter that's completely done in an orange-brown wash and it's pretty sweet as well. When all you got is b&w and a single color, you can do some pretty cool shit. It's also interesting how a color can mix with a black screentone, but sometimes that just muddies up.
Do you get inspiration for clothing from any particular sources, or do you just keep a lot of ideas gleaned over time up in your head? I like what you did with the seams in her shirt on the first illustration there.
