the 1980's era new Mutants is like my favorite x-spin off from that time [ Bill Sienkiewicz , Bret Blevins and Rick Leonardi are what made the title for me ] it was eye candy at it`s best .

but your interpretation is amazing [ it makes me think of the artist I have listed above from way back when ^_^ ] back when marvel comics was really bold and daring .

but one of the more definitive team of merry mutants outside of Wolverine and friends .

I'm always surprised when you do something from Marvel. I always got the idea that you were very anti big-comics. The New Mutants were a pretty cool team, though. I always loved the relationship between Doug and Warlock.

Yeah, I don't like how the corporate end of Marvel acts but I'm a big fan of a lot of their creators and characters.
I mean, If I didn't like the comics then I'd care less how the people who made then got treated.

And yesss, Doug and Warlock were some of my favorite characters growing up. So smart to have a mutant with such an less than flashy power.

They were great as a kid, didn't fare so well in the 90's.
I like the kind of writing that had to go into having this squishy little bastard running around with all of these people who could crack planets in half. It was a lot less (plot device X)+(plot device Y)= ending. I dig that.

Dude, it must have been really awkward the first time Doug-Friend accidentally pitched a tent when he and Warlock did the whole super-suit thing.

Peace

Such a great loose drawing. I love how everyone has their own body language.
